All-Star teams, Smacchat power rankings

1. Red Wings 33-8-3 With only one loss in their last 9 games they have taken over for Ottawa in the top spot.
2. Senators 27-10-4 Cooling off after a red-hot start of the season but still in good form
3. Sharks 23-12-6 Many pundits choice to win it all the Sharks have not lost a game in regulation in their last 6 contest.
4. Canucks 24-14-4 Favorable schedule over the next 6 games puts them in a position to get some separation from Calgary.
5. Devils 24-15-4 The only blip on the radar screen over the past week was Kevin Weekes' one-goal loss to the Bruins. Can you really blame the backup, though? It was his first start in 10 games.
6. Flames 22-15-7 The Flames have won five straight and are putting the pressure on the Canucks, not only in our weekly list but also in the Northwest Division.
7. Penguins 24-16-2 Perhaps the hottest team in the NHL, winners of their last 7
8. Wild 23-17-2 On a tough road trip now that might knoct them out of the top ten
9. Stars 24-16-4 Losers of six straight puts the Sharks right no their heels.
10. Hurricanes 22-19-4 An up-and-down week barely keeps the Canes within the top 10. Meanwhile, Sergei Samsonov finds another hockey life in Raleigh.

The Sabres have to score much more if they want to win a lot more. At least it is a point though so I guess that is good enough for now.LETS GO BUFFALO!!!!!

The Devils have been rolling lately and it couldn't be coming at a better time. It's too bad what's going on in Buffalo though.I marked this game on my calendar as a must see game months ago figuring that these two teams would both be rolling at this point. It was a good game though and Buffalo didn't back down.
